Folder Assist is an extention of Binary Pump which provides you with quick and easy access to the folder information stored in Binary Pump's files. Note that Folder Assist is an aid to Binary Pump users and is quite useless by itself.
Specifically, Folder Assist does 2 things: 1) It allows you to directly open the folders of Binary Pump sets and 2) It allows you to move/duplicate/alias directly to folders/applications of Binary Pump sets.
Folder Assist also supports keyboard selection of list elements, enabling you to quickly find what you want to execute.
Folder Assist is probably best used when placed on the desktop.
To Open a Binary Pump Folder:
1. Run Folder Assist
A window will appear, showing a list of currently installed sets with folders that can be opened.
2. Select one or more Sets from the list .
3. Click on the Execute button.
The Finder will now come to the front, and the folder(s) will be opened.
Using the Set Filer to Move Files Directly to Folders
The Set Filer mechanism is extremely similar to that of the stadard Filer except where the standard Filer is automated through rules, the Set Filer is completely manual.
The Set Filer ignores all constraining factors of a set except replacement of duplicates; it ignores the pass value and the rules. The Set Filer also ignores the set's action in favor of the action you designate in the Set Filer.
To use the Set Filer:
1. Select the desired files in the Finder.
2. Drag them to Folder Assist
4. Release the mouse button on top of Folder Assist.
A Window will appear, showing a list of currently installed sets.
5. Choose the sets which you want your files to be processed by.
Folder Assist will place the files into the destinations of these sets.
